Taskbar will not hide in XP.

Basically I use the hide taskbar option, but once it a while it does not hide.

This seems to happen when there is some program error or a program that should have shut down did not shut down properly or completely causing the taskbar not to hide.

Is there a way to fix this or to find any "no name" running program that may be un hiding the taskbar.

Thanks

This is something different. I need to click on the desktop when I have no programs running in the foreground. But in this case the taskbar is always showing and gobbling up the bottom of my screen. That is why I think it is because of improperly closed program.

Before this could be fixed but disabling and re-enabling the auto hide option but that also does not work.

Most of the time it fixes itself after some time if I leave it alone, but it has been over 6 hours and still no hiding.
