Task Manager not showing two CPU's on HT processors

I freshly reinstalled WinXP and for some reason task manager doesn't show "Two CPUs." I checked Device Manager and I see "two" 2.6c. Is it ok or do I need to reinstall windows?

I expect your system is just fine.

As you really only have one processor, but hyperthreading makes it appear as two in some situations, you can expect it two appear as two in some places and as one cpu in others. That's just the odd way that hyperthreading works out.

BTW, good job getting that o'clock with value select ram.

 

not the best ram but hey its an extra 200 dollars really worth the extra 10% or so of performance?
