the best cuda, astropulse and regular optimized apps are here: http://lunatics.kwsn.net/
my C2Q@3333MhZ crunches WUs in 680 sec while a similar core i7 takes over 2000 sec with the stock app!!

As I stressed before, use these optimized apps (with the highest level of SSE available on your hardware) for the multibeam WUs! It makes a very big difference!

I'm probably just going blind in my old age, but I looked through that list three times and only see optimized applications for Astropulse...

Look here http://lunatics.kwsn.net/index...odule=Downloads;catd=9

you have 3 lists:
1. unified installer (i prefer doing it myself)
2. astropulse
3. multibeam (at the very bottom)

Most of my computers are running the optimized apps now (only running the regular SETI work units) and they are definitely happier. 🙂

My Dual Xeon 3Ghz server running four processes with HyperThreading got the biggest boost out of any of the machines. With the default client, it was getting about 6.1 points per hour per core (so 24.4 points per hour total). With the optimized client it's getting about 13.3 points per hour per process (53.2 points per hour total). That's more than double what it was getting before! The server is definitely running a bit warmer than it was before, but it's in a climate controlled room fixed at 72 degrees Fahrenheit so it's not a big deal. 😉

The Core 2 Duo machines seem to be getting about 70-80% boost as well, so my point totals should be improving significantly. I already have 3X more pending credit now than I did before I installed the optimized apps on Friday.

It won't happen before the end of the month since it will take some time to clear out the pending work units, but I'm going to hit my goal of 250K in SETI to add another mark to my Free-DC stats "records". 😉

I have 216K points right now, with 39K pending, so I'm technically already over by a little. I should add another 15-20K on to that before July 1st. That's not bad at all, considering how pathetic my numbers were for the first 10 days of the month! 🙂
