I actually did have a decent sized cache but my internet was out for so long that even though I crunched through it all while my internet was down, the deadlines expired before I got my connection back. I lost almost two weeks of crunching time this month... however as of the 16th I am back up and running with my full fleet of four dual-core AMDs at home, around 3,000 credits/day :)

As always thanks for the stats Peter

Soon time for the poll - this time I would like to do a summer-months-poll (for July and August)?
And maybe include the BOINC-months ...
What do you all think? Input appreciated! :)

You want to do polls for July and August at the same time?

Or do you want TAS to do the same project for two months?

I'm fine with both options :)

Hmmmm -
one option would be to do a project for two months
an other one would be doing any BOINC-project (or two or three)
a third would be to vote for both months at the same time

--- all of this because of summer heat, more time for vacations, less time for sitting in front of a computer ---
there is a vacation coming up (hooray - 5 weeks of no-work-at-all!!! :) )

Just tell me your preferences ...

Well here's my idea then, we do the "New and Old" TAS event. This is where we vote to run one "New" project we have never run before, and then an "Old" project that TAS has not run within the last year.

The reason I suggest an "Old" project is that given the current membership of TAS (including me) there are several popular projects that many of us have never run before as part of TAS. E@H, SoB, and CPDN are the ones that come most readily to mind. I would rather run a proven, old project that is a favorite of TAS for part of the two months than something completely new that we know nothing about. Also the "Any BOINC Project" could be an option in the vote.

By the way, why are we voting for two months at once? Are you going to be out on holiday next month Peter? I'm going to be out on vacation myself then, out your way in Scandinavia! I'm going to Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. I looked to see where Vasterbotten is on the map and unfortunately I'm not going that far north in Sweden :(

Yes I'll be on a vacation --- and will be doing some maintenance on my hous. And that means power outage ... So I do not know how regularly I'll be on the net .

Where to Sweden are you coming? And When? Since I often travel around there is some chance to meet? If you want to PM me your itenerary ... It would be fun meeting :D

Well, that's what I said: Go, Sweden Go! And they went --- home to celebrate Midsummer. :(

;) It is very hard for a guy to be misunderstood by his own team ;)

:D Congrats to the German Soccer Team and their supporters! :D

No, there are no teams anywhere near me, but I've been to 5 games of the University of Tennessee in 2004. That was fun!

:)

Hmmmmm, how can we get any NFL-teams --- it should be I(nternational)FL-teams! :)
But the Swedish FL is not too bad - some Swedish teams have won the European cup several times (not the same team though ...)

OTOH a ball should be round, shoudn't it ;)

BTW, are we kidnapping this thread? It should be about TAS and the monthly project! Discipline, TAS-members, discipline! ;)

/Petrus hits himself on the wrist/

Hope you got your computer fixed, rise!

... it does - more or less. The admins watch, however, since some of us have asked them to "sticky" two threads. I hope they will do it.

Now for my 3000th post I have the distinct pleasure to give you ...

The stats as of June 25, 11:00 UTC.

Some numbers:
TAS' production
Credits ________ RAC _________ Credits _________ RAC _______ Production
May 31 ________ May 31 _______ June 25 ________ June 25 _____ in June
1 920 181.72 ___ 10 750.91 _____ 2 277 504.42 ___ 16 932.80 ____ 357 322.70

In the first 25 days of the project, TAS has produced 357 322.70 credits, i.e. 14 584,6 credits/day. This should put our monthly output in to approximately 405 000 credits, especially considering that the RAC is still rising (from 10 750 (June 1) to 16 932.80 (today, +57.5% compared to June 1). Given the previous experience we have reached the approximate RAC (and exceeded it by 1 900 credits comparing to the prognosis 5 days ago), and thus the production should get close to 430 000 credits (i.e 30 000 more than our goal of 400 000 credits)
We will not rise in the ranks this month.
TAS has produced 13.67% of the TeAm's output. This is however no such a big increase, since the biggest producers were crunching R@H before anyhow.
The objective was to get as many crunchers as possible to help to crunch the CASP7-challenge thinking that one of us may get lucky and get the best approximation of the folding ... :)
