No wonder it wasn't working.

What was that about you liked watching n00bs work, Rudy Toody?

So is that why I had to wash all your clothes this weekend? You were "busy doing stats"?

mmmHmmm I think you crunchers are a bad influence on my husband ;)

You introduced me to crunching. It's your fault, not theirs. :D

I installed new anti-virus and firewall on the FX-60 machine a week ago, the day before I left. There have been some problems. I was able to persuade my wife (on one occasion) and my daughter (on another occasion) to go over to my apartment this past weekend. I believe most of the problems have been taken care of. I looked at my stats on the Rosetta@home website, and both machines appear to be working fine. Yea!!

Rudy Toody has told me that he would be happy to take the bus from Seattle to my apartment in University Place (on the west edge of Tacoma - 2.5 hours each way) and attend to any sort of major problem. I'll be having a key made today, and I'll send it to him. I am very grateful for the help. It feels good to know that I have a team-mate that I can count on like this. :)

Crunch on TASers!!!

What a guy!:)

Fred, as long as you're there, you may want to switch rabrittain's comps over to POEM!

I can also add a nice story about Fred: Guess who FOR NOTHING IN RETURN sent me a nice Athlon64 FX-60 along with a tube of ICD7? Any guess? Fred!:D:beer:

(As a result of that, later that month, I'll have a now homeless X2 3800+ 939 up for "donation")

LOL. I wonder if Liz would be interested in upgrading her 3600+. Pretty soon, we'll have everyone's hardware mapped out, and when someone upgrades, hardware will just trickle down the line. :D

TA/TAS output for POEM is about 72K ppd.

Can't wait to see my electric bill though!:(

Although we are getting super close we sadly aren't up to the March production on POEM though. By end of month we should have it I think.

Its hot there! Its 85 today here, I wish I had A/C :(

On the same update for POEM@Home, the TeAm broke 3 million and Nordlichter passed us, knocking us into 11th place.

I tried to log in to the TAS-forum, but I'm deleted. I want to tell you why I left the team.
It has nothing to do with the "Noob" thing. I thaught it was funny, and nothing more. I did not leave TA because of this. Please let me log in to the TAS forum again, and let me explain.
I really appreciate You all, and I don't want to fool You!

If you send a Private Message to BlackMountainCow in this forum, he can restore your account over at the TAS forum. Petrusbroder can do it too, but he hasn't posted in either forum for a few weeks now.

They are the only two TAS forum admins that I know of.

cheers!

I never intended to delete Junta's account. I wanted to suspend it - but hit the delete button; they're right next to each other. Restoring the account didn't work; deleted is gone for good.

PM sent with new account data.

Oh nooooooooooooo!

Don't get me wrong. I think that Linux is a great operating system; I am used to XP Pro though, and I like it.

I have had trouble with the FX-60 this month. I don't believe that the firewall is configured correctly. I have been able to ask my ex-wife and my daughter to go over to my apartment twice to reboot the machine and restart BOINC. The machine transmits for about a day after that. Then, it stops communicating with BOINC. My ex-wife and my daughter don't understand firewalls, and I haven't asked them to look at the rules. I have been able to get an extra key made for my apartment, but I haven't been able to mail the key! My father lives out in the country. My transportation is his car, and it doesn't go anywhere unless he's in it. He's a night owl and doesn't feel like going anywhere until the late afternoon.

I expect to be able to mail the key this week. Hopefully Rudy will have it by the beginning of next week. I guess it would be OK to switch the FX-60 machine over to Poem, but I tend to want the Pentium D to continue on Rosetta. Of course, I realize that if he swithes them both, there's not much that I can do about it.

BUT NO LINUX!!!

CRUNCH ON!!!!
