Including credit that has not yet been granted, I have only turned in a TOTAL of 23K points in the six days since the beginning of the month where even on a low credit project I should be getting at least 5K per day (about 30K total).

I agree. µFluid@home is a low yielding project in matters of credit. It is also a project which uses a lot of the processing power - I can see a 2 - 3ºC higher core temp when a computer is running µFluids only compared to e.g. MalartiaControl or Einsten or WCG.
I remember from the previous time TAS ran µFluid we saw a similar increase in core temps.

The pending credit amounts are just amazing. I'm going to go ahead and start doing stats today after I get off work. I'm thinking a weekly, more involved, stats would be better for this project. Seeing numbers barely go up very day would be more disconcerning.

I'm at 30k pending and have finished 26k. All this computed on 40 computers (248.4 total GHz) over about 5 days. This comes to about 280 points per computer per day.

It's too bad that their Linux app won't run under my Linux version. I now have all three quads churning away on 3x+1 while waiting for some more Orbit@Home.

I hope biodoc doesn't see this post because I'm about to pass him at 3x+1.

LOL! I think your OK.

He's probably celebrating his 1 million point in F@H.

Hey Fred and Neurodog!:)

Fred, crunch away at 3x+1! I'm glad one of us is holding the fort over there!

I'm crunching F@H for awhile. Trying to put some distance between TA and DPC!;)

Dog, how's that GPU client running? It's really kicks butt doesn't it!

Cheers guys!

Thanks for the stats, FMC!

I am on vacation now and have left the crunchers crunching ... but I see from afar that two of them have not reported in for two days ... Well better some than none .. ;)

I was looking at the uFluids website and noticed that my Intel machine had not checked in for over 12 hours; the AMD machine had not reported in over 14 hours.

I am now at my apartment. The AMD machine has 8 tasks ready to report. The Intel machine has 4 tasks ready to report.

I checked the messages.

uFluids 7/12/2008 5:54:39 PM Message from server: Project is temporarily shut down for maintenance

...the first instance of this message was at 6:38:27 AM. Because I live on the west coast, the times are pdt. So the first instance of this message on my AMD machine was at 1:38:27 PM UTC. It is now 7/13/2008 1:10 AM UTC. The problem has been going on for about 11 1/2 hours.

I'm working on my last 2 tasks on the AMD machine. I'm currently working on 2 tasks on the Intel machine, and there are 6 more ready to run on that machine.

I probably shouldn't be, but I'm a little irritated at this situation.

There appears to be no mention of a problem on the uFluids website.

:disgust: :|

edit 7/12/2008 6:32 PM pdt

I just downloaded a bunch of Rosetta tasks so that I can keep my AMD machine busy. This problem may last all weekend.

uFluids stats were passed to free-dc about 1/2 hour ago.

All of the servers except for th assimilator are functioning properly.

Cool.

Most of my computers are set to use a 24 hour cache so I honestly didn't even notice, but thank you for the update, rabrittain! It's good to know that they are back online so we don't have to switch in the middle of the month like we did with ABC.

Ever since the uFluids servers came back up, the timestamp at the website is wrong.

For example: I posted a thread regarding this problem on the "Web Site" sub-topic of "Questions and Answers" The website said that I posted at 13:07 UTC, but the actual time was 21:07 UTC.

I updated my computers ~1:30 PM pdt (~8:30 PM UTC). When I went to my account on the uFluids web site and viewed my computers, it said that the last contact was ~12:30 PM UTC.

The timestamp is (for me) 8 hours behind. I would be interested in finding out if the error is different for people in different time zones.

I realize that in the great scheme of things this is a small problem -- but dammit!!

It's just wrong!!!

I can definitely confirm that problem. The time stamps are nowhere close to what they should be. But hey, as long as we get WUs, I'm already satisfied. :)

I wasn't able to take out the trash while I was slaving over a hot, um, microwave, for your dinner.

Nothing like hearing the whip crack for stats.

:D I know the feeling - would you please get the stats done?
Or should we get some one's cane and add it to the whip? ;)

I'll get them done, I promise. Just don't get the special cane. It's looks incredibly painful. (and I can't do them at work anymore, so I'll be doing them when I get home)
