Ah, but I had a head start. I started on 12 Dec.

I am taking a few days away from it to run some SIMAP and one Orbit orphan.

AQUA has just raised the credits by multiplying the reqested credits by 1.8.

It's 2.1 now to be on a standard with Seti@home.

I think it's funny that the first post in that thread says that Aqua's points calculation was well below the one used by Seti while the truth is that it has been way ABOVE Seti scores from the first day the project went live. Their most recent change means that Aqua is now one of the highest scoring BOINC projects at more than double the average of most other projects. Points aren't the primary purpose of DC, but they are nice and I personally won't complain about a little bit of "padding" this month. 🙂

Note of caution, checkpointing has not been implemented yet on aqua@home.

I rebooted one of my machines yesterday and found I had lost all progress on the WUs (started over).

Here's the thread over at the aqua forum discussing this issue.

SIMAP has completed the WUs for this month. I have re-enabled AQUA@Home and it will share with SIMAP for a day or two and then I will be back at 100%

Welcome dajeepster!

Ok, I just moved everything over to Aqua. I was gone on vacation in Big Sur, CA. Had a wonderful time. Its such a pretty area. Now lets get to work! 🙂

😎, Alyx is in!🙂 Hope you had a good time in Big Sur!

This month could be a record for TAS production!😛

I am in too, switched all my TAS-computers to Aqua just two hours ago. 🙂

I'll do some stats friday or so, efter one week of crunching - lets see who will be in the lead! 😉

I am so :| that you could cook eggs on my brow ...

I just had an power outage. It lasted long enough for my UPSes to kick in and - after 10 minutes - to shut down all my crunchers. All my TAS-crunchers (27 cores) had at that time computed Aqua-WUs for approx 2.5 - 3 hours and I lost all that work because Aqua@Home has not implemented check-points. At least 67 CPU-hours lost ... :|

<Now imagine me swearing really dirty in Swedish, German, English, Slovak, Hungarian, Russian and a few other languages such as:
"May all the fleas from a thousand camels suck blood from the private parts (here some or no imagination is needed) of the person who caused this power outage!">

Bummer Peter.

I upgraded one of my rigs to ubuntu 8.10 last weekend and I noticed the "lack of checkpointing" during that process. I had only 4 cores losing work though.

I would have liked to have been a "fly on the wall" during your swearing session though!😉 It seem a bit out of character for the Peter we all know!

WOW!!! Dajeepster is really cranking out major points!!!

He's going to pass me after only 3 days!!!!:thumbsup:
