I have adjusted these stats ; now the updated numbers represent the daily update of BOINC-stats and not the interim updates which happen now and then. I think that I'll stick to those numbers in the future. This way we will get stats from WCG in the mornings and from BOINCstats in the eary evening (CET).

It is an intra-team race - one way to recruit new folders and to have fun.
Also for quite a few it is the time to upgrade their computers and to burn them in, maximize production and to have a lot of fun ...

I crucnhed a few FAAH and HCC WUs and calculated 7500 ppd for 3 overclocked quads running linux.

Not good enough output for my quads plus IMHO, the science is marginal on those projects.

How bad is TA doing in the WCG race? I'm supposed to have a holiday dinner here in the next few days, so I need my table space cleared, but after that, I can probably put a few comps there to crunch. Is there a primer to WCG anywhere? What sub-project is preferable to pick? (Does one have a choice?) Is WCG a Bionc thing or does it have it's own client?

The WCG runs on the Boinc client yes.

Anadtech is loosing ground bigtime. Not imposssibly to regain, just hard.
It is however impossible with those crunchers we have now. Therefore we need to recruit. Not from the folders (they do a lot of good !!!!) but from the others.
Let us give that a try!

WCG runs on BOINC. It is essentially set and forget ...
You have to register yourself here at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ before you can start crunching.
When attaching to the project you enter the above addy, your registered user name and password, an off you are.

You can decide what project to crunch, after you have registered by entering through the "My Projects" choice in the menue at the left.
The "Clean Energy project" takes many hours to crunch (90 - 140 hours) but gives a larger reward. The other projects give more or less the same; there may be some differences but with my computers (a mix of AMD and Intel processors) I have not seen any big difference.

Do I normally need to register seperately for each seperate Bionc project, or is it possible to register with Bionc, and keep that name for all the other projects? Do I need to register with Bionc before I register with WCG? How does it keep track of overall Bionc stats unless I do that?

When you register for multiple projects use the same name and email address and it will all work out fine. I'm pretty sure it makes a hash value based on your email and all the projects will use the same one.
