Edit May, 1: The final stats for TAS' April Project - QMC@Home are here.

Edit April, 25: Team Anandtech has passed 500 000 credits in QMC@Home! Hurray!

Edit April, 25: The poll for TAS' project in May is up @ TAS Please vote here!

Edit April, 25: TAS is number 1 in QMC by some 10 000 credits! Congrats and thanks all crunchers! 😀

Edit April, 22: The weekly stats are up. The difference between Free-DC and TA is less than 6 500 credits. TAS has produced more than 325 000 credits in April and accounts of more than 92% of all RAC! >D

Edit April, 20:The race is going on - we have gained more than 50 000 credits in the passed week. Only 2 days (or so) until we pass- unless Free-DC dumps many credits (which they may have been hoarding 😉) ... join and race!

Edit April, 18: There is a race on: Team Anandtech vs. Free-DC in matters QMC@Home. The goal? to become the #1 team in QMC before the month is over? Realistic chance? If the stats are right within 4 days ... but: Free-DC has realized what is on - so they are putting comps on the project ... The Race Is On!

Edit April, 17: Team Anandtech has passed the 300 000 credist milestone. Will probably pass Free-DC within 7 days.

Edit April, 14: Here are the two-week-stats! Looks very, very good!

Edit April, 13: TA is the top producer in the world!

Edit April, 9::
1. Lets welcome Networkman to TAS! 😀
2. Maintenance has been done and will be done on the site. That may slow down communication ...

Edit April, 9: The TAS-board is online again. Johan has restored the portal page again. No probs have been found as yet.

Edit April, 9: The TAS-board is offline since it has been defaces and since there is some risk of malicious software (the hacker put some music to be played - and in thet file some kind of malicoius could possibly be hidden). So check your computers.

Edit April, 8: BMC has joint the effort (after returning from his trip to Marocco) TeAm is now second in the project ... lok up the stats! 😀

Edit April, 1: The first stats are in - 18 hours and more than 4 000 credits!

The poll for the april project is closed.

The winner was QMC@Home

2 votes ______ Leiden Classic

13 members voted in the poll.

Now lets hit QMC! 🙂 😉

Thanx Peter!!😀 I really think we can kick some butt in this project!! So lets get crunching! 😉

Nice: The number for members (with and without credits) in the QMC-team has increased (in the last 24 hours) from 11 to 16. All you other TAS-members: please consider to join!

And you all: have a nice week end!

You've got us off to a GREAT START Peter! Thank You!

It looks like it will be fun so far. Apparently the WUs have wild differences in time to crunch. My first took a looooooong time for ~500 points and it was followed with a few that had ~50, and I even see one in between with ~200.

I love the variety 😎

Two more MC to crunch and then QMC WUs start 🙂

Nice small downloads! Are the uploads small too?

Yeah it did - but the reward, the reward! 😉
It looks to me that QMC@Home rewards slow computers better than fast ones - if you look at the credit/WU. The total picture should however be quite equal, since the fast comps turn out a "few" more WUs ... 😉

So: add it all: slow, fast and inbetween: it pays off nicely! 😛

Thanks Peter!

You know I love that one 😎

 to all us fish.... Big, Medium and Small

It's a great pond and there's room for everyone. Come help TAS bring these servers to their knees. 😛

i knew there was something i was supposed to do 😛

just joined the QMC fray. bring it.

Here are the stats for April 2 for QMC@Home.

Lets welcome cooper76 to the crunching - he is the 8th TAS member to join and to produce credits. I know that more are coming up ... 😉

The numbers look really good:

Rank __ Members ____ RAC _______ Credits ______ Name
4 ______ 115 ______ 3 581.98 _____ 96 577.80 ___ BOINC Synergy
5 _______ 16 ______ 4 899.51 _____ 94 910.25 ___ TeAm Anandtech (+1)
6 _______ 12 ______ 2 949.10 _____ 88 824.25 ___ Russia (-1)
7 _______ 40 ______ 2 382.65 _____ 72 895.68 ___ Rechenkraft.net

TeAm Anandtech has climbed óne step up and is now in 5th rank. All of this increase in production and RAC (by 1001 credits in 24 hours) is due to TAS. If the RAC continues to rise, we should pass BOINC Synergy within 2½ days. The next "roadkill" should come in some 11 days - BOINC.BE - but you never know: In SIMAP we had our sights on that team when they suddenly turned around and produced some 1 500 credits/day more than TeAm Anandtech ...

Mates - was I wrong!!! Look here:

Rank __ Members ____ RAC _______ Credits ______ Name
3 _______ 22 ______ 3 009.86 ____ 111 448.03 ___ BOINC.BE
4 _______ 18 ______ 5 368.27 ____ 105 159.30 ___ TeAm Anandtech (+2)
5 ______ 118 ______ 3 651.94 ____ 101 230.37 ___ BOINC Synergy (-1)
6 _______ 12 ______ 3 123.64 _____ 93 595.24 ___ Russia (-1)
7 _______ 41 ______ 2 346.07 _____ 75 092.40 ___ Rechenkraft.net

TeAm Anandtech has climbed two steps up and is now in 4th rank. All of this increase is due to TAS.
We have passed BOINC-Synergy 1½ day faster than I anticipated! If the RAC continues to rise, we should pass BOINC.BE in about 3 - 4 days (I dare not to be to exact since the RAC is so variable). But you never know: In SIMAP we had our sights on that team when they suddenly turned around and produced some 1 500 credits/day more than TeAm Anandtech ...

Lets also welcome our valued TAS-members salvorhardin and GLeeM to the crunching ...

BTW: I just happened to remember: GLeeM and salvorhardin have been with TAS for one year (joined in april 2005)! Thanks for all your crunching, posting, neffing and your great team - attitude!

Edit: As GLeeM poits out (see further down) this aniversary is not for joining TAS but rather for moving to a new site hosted by amd.borg. Sorry for the confusion ... 🙁 but not at all for the congrats! 😀

My office smells like ozone. 😀

But, I'll keep the l'il guys running until I can't anymore. Even if it takes a few days, you're right. And those big results are often nice "jumps" in ones numbers. :Q

-jim

OMG. I just realized it was HH:MM:SS. Holy crap. These WUs are taking 40 - 56 hours on each processor. Jeez. 🙁
