Staples will have the Targus Wireless Rechargeable Laser Notebook Mouse for $9.99 after $20 instant savings and $10 easy rebate. 5/4-5/10

SKU 636359

(if the link doesn't work the item is currently on the site or on the back page of the 5/4-5/10 ad available for viewing online)

Oh, wow - guess I'm hitting Staples on Sunday. I've been looking for something exactly like that for a while.

I went and grabbed one. It's not the greatest ever in terms of performance, but it's got a nice feel to it. Sucks that it takes two USB ports (one for charge, one for receiver), though.

And mine bit the dust within 12 hours. It looks like, from some of the reviews I'm reading online, there are some serious QC issues with this mouse.

This is what I get for not buying Logitech or Microsoft, I suppose. Bleh.

Thanks for letting me know, that saved me a trip from going over there.

I've had one of these for over 5 months, and has worked perfectly right out of the box. I did of course follow the instructions, which isn't difficult.

I picked up two of the wired version of this for $5 last Black Friday. I'm not terribly impressed with mine and very rarely use it but the one I gave to my mother has been used continuously since then and is still going. It's not the most ergonomic and I don't recommend it for first person shooters and the like but it's definitely worth $5 and the wireless is probably worth $10.

DON'T BUY!!
I got one of these from CompUSA last August and it doesn't work for s**t. I exchanged it once but the second one had the same problems as the first. It would charge once and work but when I tried to re-charge the mouse it wouldn't take a charge (I even tried my own rechargeable batteries) and then it wouldn't work even while connected via the USB cable. I have the receipt and plan to contact Targus sometime in the near future to see if I can't exchange for a different product.

ADDED: I should clarify that I got the Bluetooth wireless version. It was $10 after rebates.

I bought one. Works fine so far. Charges up fine. Works with USB cable. :Shrug;

Not sure about the rechargeable "batteries" per say, mine does not have "batteries", that are easily accessible, anyway. Just plug in the usb cable and let it charge overnight. No problems whatsoever.
