Targus cases at CC

Also available is the Groove (SKU CVR600) for $16.99 after $10 MIR.

It says web only special, so the prices may not apply in-store. They do seem to apply for online purchase to be picked up in-store.

Well those are definitely more expensive...you can buy two Targus packs for one of those, lol

I think the Targus is good enough--I go to school in Boston, and this guy has survived a blizzard, several rainstorms (it's waterproof...will feel moist on the inside fabric, but no liquid actually gets through), and so on...still no signs of wear.

The padding in the notebook compartment is also nice. It's very spacious...fits my laptop, 2 or 3 textbooks, folders, and the like (not that I actually haul that much crap around).

So yeah while I don't have experience w/the other brands you mentioned, I really think the Targus is good enough.

ok, so this is how i bought it:

went in store, they had this backpack on display for sale. picked up the black one and ask the girl to scan its price for me, it ran up $29.99. i said it's $26.99 on the website so i showed her the printout, she said she will ask manager. while she walks into office i walked back and picked up a blue one (which is 20x nicer looking than the black one.) she walked back and said she'll adjust the price.

rang up the price again it came up $39.99, she asked if it's a different one? i said it's the same backpack but different color (actually website says black only) but she still goes for it and adjust to $26.99.

i thought it might not print out the $10 rebate but surprisingly it did!

overall, a nice blue backpack that fits my 15" widescreen Averatec and for $39.99 - $13 = $26.99 + tax = 29.37 - $10 rebate = under $20.

good deal.

ps. this thing is got so many compartments it's super!

[EDIT] lol i even took a pic..
