I was at Target last night and they had a boat load of PC games on clearance for around 12 bucks.

Off the top of my head Tabula Rasa, Earth at War, Kane and Lynch, Timeshifters, Two Worlds.

There was at least 5 or so more titles of decent games, I ended up buying Timeshifters and Kane and Lynch (shit can't lose for 12 bucks.)

Edit: this was in the Riverside, CA store

thanks .. i already got 11 games for less than 10 dollars each this last month at GoGamer and Curseit City ... Can't hurt to look and see if i missed my target of buying ALL the good bargain bin games .. at this point about 6 months of PC gaming heaven ... and my timing is perfect ... i just upgraded my rig a bit to HD2900 CrossFire.

Riverside ... smogville?:p
:D
- i used to live in Sunnymead long before it became Moreno Valley and got crowded as hell ... i moved ~40 miles east where is it less crowded [high desert]

Good price on games. Thanks for the heads up.Always nice to save bucks.

apoppin;

I still live in "sunnymead" now "MoVal". Moved here in Feb. 1982.
Hard to forget that at that time, there was only one stop light in the entire town. ahh.. times have changed.

I may follow you, for some cleaner air, lol.

AMDBOY, radical

i left Sunnymead in '80 ... i could forsee the incredible problem you guys have with only 2 lanes each way on your main "freeway" .. well, three if you count the much abused 'carpool lane'; the commute into Riverside was starting to get annoying - and dangerous - 29 years ago!! i can't imagine the daily grind thru the smog, up the hill, thru the heat - every day! :Q

But be careful about "following me" ... although i live in a place that will never be overbuilt, the surroundings will get *intensely crowded* - the infrastructure of the Coachella Valley is unable to handle the growth and the hi-desert that depends on Hwy 62 only has 5 lanes - 2 in each direction and a center turn lane which is also becoming a dangerous commute with many accidents.

At any rate, i will check out Target in Cat City ... and maybe Palm Desert also ... there seem to be a lot less kids here ... Low Desert is a resort atmosphere for the "newlywed and nearly dead" :p

Yeah, whenever we pop into Target, I check the games clearance. They often have console games, too (albeit awful ones, usually).

The deal-hunter in me always enjoys going to Target and walking the sides for the deals :)

Dog gone it, I have way too many games in the closet right now waiting to be played due to gogamer. I am tempted to check out target but I know I would walk home with a few additional games and I just don't have the time!!

That being said I am heading to the Renton, WA store tonight ;)

Picked up a couple of copies of Two Worlds for me and my son to play together. Spent about an hour with it last night, it's obviously not the most polished game in the world, but I can see what they were looking to create, and for $12.50 a copy, it's a great game.

Is Two Worlds worth it for $12? I was thinking about picking it up for that price when i saw it a couple weeks ago, but I remembered all the negative reviews it was getting.

the one in East Pasadena has only a few games on sale, but at 19.99 instead; C&C3 and Civ4 *i think*; none really got my attention.

the clearance games are in a real obscure spot (at least in mine) they are on a back end cap about 5 or so isles away from the electronics section, kinda behind tools or lightbulbs almost...

I wouldn't get it for the multiplayer experience, which I still haven't figured out, but the single player is okay, the combat system is decent, and the size of the world makes Oblivion look like a postage stamp.

I would say for $12.50, if you liked Oblivion, Two Worlds is a decent title.

i found it today ... it was a mess .. everything clearance all games tossed together .. and there were only 2 PC games i didn't already have ... M&M's Heroes V - Tribes of the East [Standalone] for $7.48 and World in Conflict for $12.48 ...

so i bought them both

does WiC have a decent SP campaign? .. my dial-up only hits ISDN speeds of 228k :p

I really enjoyed the single player for WiC and I believe you can do SP skirmish. It's also a great lan game, I picked up my second copy for $12.90 at gogamer for lanparties.
