Do I need to use the microsoft pci wireless cards with this or can i use any name brand as long as they are the 108mbps ones?
It's not necessary to use a Microsoft wireless adapter with this router.

Wow.

My target didn't have any routers 🙁, but they sure had a desktop G card, and a lappy G card. $9.90 each. I nabbed 'em both!

D.C.

Down South, Birmingham, AL. Went to one Target and they had several notebook and PCI cards so I grabbed one of each but they didnt have any routers, didnt even have a tag for them, so I got home and called one more local Target and had them check on the router, they said they didnt even carry it.

I checked ebay out for these items and of course it is full of 'em. Of course everyone charging an arm and leg for shipping is what kills it.

Ill also throw out there, If anyone wants to grab one extra MN-700 router, Ill pay $45 shipped to Birmingham, AL for it. Please!?

Would this work as an AP without using broadband just for file-sharing instead of the main use being a router? I used to have a netgear wireless router and since I have dialup I could never get the network connect wirelessly, only when hard wired.

Router's in Phoenix are still at the normal ~$60 price... but the very last desktop wireless card was a nice low $19 and some change. =)

Edit: At that price, I think I'll go see what I can find for a good price on a Linksys wrt54g
Edit2: w00t! Found the MS router for $24.48 at another target. Altogether, including the base station and desktop card, the total came to $44.06 + tax.

Saw 3 routers at Target in Clovis, CA for $24.48. 1 PCI card and about 5 or 6 PC cards for $19.58 each.

I need a PCI card at home, but I have D-Link Extreme G Plus stuff working at home at 108Mbps and don't want to throw a 54Mbps card in there.

I also would like to upgrade the router at my office from 802.11b to g. This would be a pretty good deal, but I don't use my wireless over there so much and if I do upgrade I'll probably try to go with the pure D-Link Extreme Plus stuff.

FYI, I haven't really looked through here to see if this was already posted, but while I was there I saw some GE 4.1 flat panel computer speakers that were regularly $40 selling for $19.9x and some other 2.1 speakers that were selling for $10.xx.

Pick up 4 rounters today for myself, my girlfriend, mom, and a friend of mine. There are 4 left in the Chicago Elston Target. They are out of the network adapter. None in the Addison St. Traget.

Lucked out and found the last one tucked behind some clearance DVD/VCR combos--hope it wasn't stashed by a fellow a AT'er. Rung up $17.48. Great deal though I wish it had a print server.

so for some reason the target's here in iowa don't seem to carry networking equipment... whatever.

so i checked out OM like someone else suggested... not as hot there. and it's online only.. unless you can maybe find the older styled packaging like on these? the ones they had in the store had different packaging from the ones that are on clearance everywhere.

anyway... i just ordered one from OM online for 35.45 shipped. not nearly as hot... but still decent.

also... $5 of that was shipping. so if you could find it b&m it'd be about $30-31 or so.

2 pcmcia 802.11g and 1 pci 802.11g for 9.99 each at the local Harbor City/Carson, CA Target

I'm already selling one of the pcmcia to a client for $39! 🙂

This sucks, the Target near me doesn't have any of the wireless products on clearance. I even scanned them just to make sure...but once they hit, you can be sure I'll be there to clean up...

All the Targets in Austin have already switched to selling Motorola equipment except for one, but the price for the Microsoft router was only discounted to $50.

my target has a whole back end of the shelf dedicated to these routers and wireless cards, stocked full...exactly right where there should be clearance stuff, only problem, its all full price. I was so excited, until I scanned em.
