Today the Sunbeam electric blankets went 75% off. I saw...

twin - 8.24
Full - 12.44
Queen - $18.74 (I checked them today)
King - 22.xx

I didn't check/scan all the other blankets but they were all still marked 50% off unlike the electric blankets that were ticketed 75% off. Scanned a few of the other sheet sets and sofa/loveseat covers and they were still coming up 50% off.

They were 50% still at my Target (Fredericksburg, VA) - but I couldn't pass up a queen size Sunbeam blanket for $35... Waiting for the others to drop to pick up some other blankets...

bump for the people in the east! these are the safe ones i think... my momma call me feeling all guilty cause she bought the other one 🙁 po momma
i'll have to go check it out so SHE can feel better... yeah that's it 🙂

CRG, if you paid $35 (50%) for the queen that would make the 75% off price $17.xx. I'll update my post to reflect that.

electric blankets are one of the best inventions of the 20th century, i shjt you not. i replaced my $400 down comforter with a $50 electric blanket, and was never happier. if you have ever woken up cold, do yourself a favor and try to get one, regardless of the price.

i heard that they make guys sterile. something to do with the magnetic field they create or something.

I checked the Christiansburg VA store and the Sunbeam queen was still $52.48 (sigh). Gee now they are calling them "warming" blankets instead of "electric" blankets?:Q

The Cupertino Target store had only the queens in stock (in Green). There were a few on the shelves where the blankets were, and some more near the end shelf about 3 aisles away from the blankets. My GF picked one up for $18.xx last nite.

I found an American Tourister Garment Bag for $35 (orig $140). Matches the 3-pc AT set I bought early this week for $35. I think I got enough of Target's clearance stuff....except maybe if I could find a cheap tent....

As far as health goes, it looks to me like some of these things can 'tend to' damage our health: electric blankets, cell phones, high-voltage overhead power lines, heavy metal or industrial chemical runoff in the water supply, and probably sugar, too! But one doesn't appear to kill you. You want to avoid that second one, though. It's the double-tap that gets you. I always wondered why some individuals would freak out about electromagnetic radiation in the home. I finally figured that they probably had their system weakened earlier, and then this was the final straw.

For electric blankets, I have the king-size Sunbeam on my bed, with a medium-weight fiberfill comforter over it. On really cold nights or late at night when my system has already started slowing down, I'll kick on the blankie for ten minutes before I crawl in, then kick it off when I get in. Man! All toasty on the feet, I love it! And no e-m radiation on the body, since it's shut down. Then, the comforter keeps the heat in, and I'm good to go!

Good point! And energy compliant.

For those interested, these larger sizes are going fast. One store earlier tonite was completely sold out. I went there after not finding a queensize at a closer to home store.

They put these on clearance every year and every year I end up with at least 1 (I bought 2 this year). Sad thing is, I've still never opened any of them. I keep thinking I'll find a use for them one day but when you have a heated waterbed you don't really need an electric blanket.

So far both the Christiansburg and Roanoke (VA) stores still have the queen size for $52.48 (sigh). ANybody know when they MIGHT go lower?

Check them again on Tuesday 😉

They do markdowns Mon - Friday in different depts throughout the store.

Mon - electronics, kid/infants, stationary
Tues - domestics, food area, womens clothing
Wed - toys, lawn & garden, health & beauty, mens clothing
Thurs - housewares, sporting goods, shoes, lingerie
Fri - automotive, tools/hardware, jewelry, cosmetics

Still no luck and they have moved the few blankets to a back wall in domestics. That's a step in the right direction I hope!
