I am about to start up again, so I can look good fo tha hunnies.
I might pay a bit extra for the stand up tanning instead of laying down.
I might try one of those stickers as well, that you put in the same spot all through your tanning and it leaves an untanned spot in whatever shape the sticker was. That would be cool.

I just look and feel better when I tan. It gives me a small sense of euphoria. It feels very nice as long as I don't burn.

I've fake baked every Spring for several years just to get a base tan so I don't burn in the summer. But for some reason, this is the first year where I've felt overly paranoid about it. I feel like I've pressed my luck for long enough after spending my entire life outside during the summer for multiple hours with no or very little sunblock on.

I may look into those new moisturizing lotions you can get that have the tanning agent incorporated into it. Walmart carries them and they're only like $6/bottle. They're very subtle unlike the fake bronzer stuff. I saw a girlat the gym yesterday who was disgustingly orange.

I do it. I'm getting married in June, and I'm not one to tan too easily. I've been maybe 10 times so far, and it's not too bad. Just have to keep a sock on me no-no.

The big reason I'm doing it is because my fiancee naturally gets VERY dark, and we didn't want me to be washed out in pictures.

Just so you know, the brand makes a HUGE difference with those.
The cheaper ones will make you really orange.
THe best i have found is by Loreal. It is called Sublime Bronze.
It smells the best out of them and is not orangey at all. Dove, oil of olay, jergens are all smelly and orange looking. Plus, they seem to wear off quickly and leave your skin patchy with color.

Yeah, I noticed they had some super cheapy ones that appeared to do the same thing but I was wondering about the results. How quickly do you notice a difference with the Loreal one, how obvious is the "tan" and how long does it last? Any clothes staining with it?

I'll probably garden and do some yardwork in just my shorts, but i'm not going to pay to get skin cancer.

Now I just need to quit smoking

Tanning naturally is good... but I haven't played outdoor sports consistently for a while now. :(

There are two different levels... light and medium in colors. I got the medium color and noticed a slight difference within a few days. it really takes a good week though to see the total color. as long as you use the lotion at least every other day, it should last for a few days after the last application.
If you want to splurge on the BEST tan in a can... get something called Glow Fusion. Its about 50$ for a HUGE bottle. Its a liquid spray (non aearsol) that dries instantly and has NO smell at all and no streaks. It is amazing.

I'd prefer not to be a cancer infested wrinkly leather prune later in life, so it's not something I outgoingly pursue.

Good answer. I also bike to and from work, that's plenty of exposure for me.

Aren't you gay? Making this statement irrelevant, or simply a lie so that the strait but very metro guys will post that they tan too.

Going "tanning" gives you cancer :|

However, I'm usually outside in the summer months, so I'm always tan :)

Disc golf and fishing will do that to ya ;)

Plus I'll be spending a month in Australia so I think it'll get a little bit more sun than usual :D

To answer your question, I take my shirt off when I mow the lawn so I don't get a farmer's tan, but I am not going to pay to age my skin and raise my chances of getting skin cancer.

I don't tan, I burn. I can get a slight burn going walking across a big parking lot in the summer.
