Well, i needed another quad for work, so i decided to get another G0.

Those of you guys that know me, i tend to hord quadcores.

But heres what tank guys is mailing out:

L720B066

Heres crossing my fingers that this B will be as good as the E6600 B's.

I'll post results up later when i have time to test. She will go in my secondary rig which is also watercooled.

im very interested in your results, let me know.

Heres the intials, im still playing around with her. But all i can say is OMG!

for anyone who does not realize at first glance this is not on air.

I should list my cooling huh?

Well, its top tier water. Bios: 1.535Vcore After Vdroop: 1.49

So no its not recomended on air, but i think this one might hit 4.0ghz like my ES with more voltage. Going to have to wait and see. She runs slightly hotter then the ES tho.

ASUS P5K-DLX

Wont do 4.0ghz :T

She does 3.73 @ 1.44Vcore tho. :eek:

I think im going to keep her at that. 3.825 didnt fail after 3 hours, but i didnt like the startup vcore. Its at 1.51 when idle, and 1.49 when loaded.

Anyhow more testing :T

lol

I would be pretty satisfied with 3.73 at 1.44v. but if you can make it run 3.825 with less than 1.5v, thats pretty good too. damn you and your asus motherboards...

I would defiantely go for the 3.73 myself... but then again, I'm not a fan of high voltages. Anything over 1.45 is a little too hardcore for me, but I also don't have much for money to throw around anymore...

...especially with a '66 Mustang staring back at me everytime I pull out of the driveway. :D

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how is this Quad different from other G0's? What are the differences and how can you tell this one apart from the others?

the only other G0 i can compare this to is my ES.

And my ES is in a completely different ballgame.

Sorry, still lost. =( What exactly is ES? Are there different types or revisions to G0? Where does B3 belong in this comparison? Thanks for clarifying.

ES = engineering sample (not retail, comes in B3 and G0)

B3 = original retail stepping

G0 = new retail stepping

first batch of G0 were L##A (where ## is the week of the year)
aigomorla has a L##B

clear?

@ aigo, I envy your temperatures. whats your ambients? i also like your psu. those voltages are very sexy, especially the 3.33 rail.

Okay, I got it...thanks. :) Is there a reason why the B's reach better temps than than the A's?

we dont know that yet. its just 1 chip tested, and with aigomorla's setup you cant really make the call that it runs cooler than As. his temperatures will always be lower than yours anyways.

The reaon COULD be is that it's a newer batch with more tweaks/improvements then the a's. Extensive testing would have to be done to be sure though.

ambients around 78-80F when recorded.

But its mostly due to the ultra low load voltage. 1.44Vcore is just sick in my opnion for 3.73ghz.
