"Tammy" was number two in box office take last weekend with over 21 million in sales for the weekend and over 33 million in sales from opening through the weekend.

Received a free ticket to see the movie Tammy, it was so so bad, found myself browsing and checking emails instead. They wrote this movie on a napkin during lunch. From the trailer, it appears Tammy is a criminal, when she is not at all.

Was expecting a comedy, wound up bored to death, was so happy when it was finally over. Everyone in the theater booed at the end.

Melissa McCarthy may think she is a female Chris Farley,----------n o t even close. McCarthy is a horrible actress and should stop making movies.

Do not see this movie, it will be in the Walmart junk movie bin very soon.

Down here you would have been removed from the theatre and potentially blacklisted from it.

The book was decent, but the movie? Pretty rough.

I was actually surprised by the fact that two big-named actors were in it. I also found the movie on a sleepy Saturday with nothing to do so I just sat back and enjoyed it. I really wasn't expecting anything much from it. I just thought that Travolta and Whittiker (sic?) had either lost a bet or were struggling in their careers. Either way, it was a pleasant surprise.

I must say that, in retrospect, the movie did not take itself too seriously so I think a lot of people were disappointed that it did not live up to their expectations.

Travolta is a Scientologist and Battlefield earth was written by Hubard, the god of Scientology.

"Tammy" was third in this past weekends box office according to the Sunday evening news reports.

She was decently funny and played a good villain in Identity Theft.

From the previews, this movie seems to be a similar character and from the previews, I can't tell what the plot of the movie is. The blunder in these kinds of films is that people are paying to see her situational comedy/skits and with a name like "Tammy", you go in without ANY expectations of what it's about....so you're automaticlally disappointed when/if it doesn't deliver. At least with Identity Theft, the title made sure you knew what it was about.
