Talking to people on elevators..

Anyone else hate talking to someone you know on elevators when there are other people that you don't know around?

I feel like they're going to be listening in to what we have to say, and even though nothing I ever say is important, I don't like the feeling that they're listening to what we have to say..I know I usually listen to other people's conversations since there really is nothing else to do, unless I have my headphones on.
 
yeah, its hard to talk about stuff cause you dont know who they are and who they know, but I usually do it anyways

I met my girlfriend when she interjected into a conversation my buddy and I were having. No problems with it, sometimes I'll even join in other people's conversations. 🙂

I don't like talking in elevators when other people are in there because I think it's annoying when I have to hear someone else's dumb conversation.

same here, at least I try to talk in at a lower volume or whisper.
 
1) I think it's weird how people never say a word on elevators. It's like there's some universal rule that you should just look forward and not say anything.

2) A friend and I used to always make up conversations when someone would get on the elevator.
For example:
"So she's really cheating on her boyfriend with her stepdad?!?"

It probably has to do with too many people invading their personal space.

Just last week a girl on my elevator said, "I am from out of the county. Can you recommend a good place to spend the night?"

She's making dinner right now.

Sooo nice.
 
I talk to strangers almost every time I get on an elevator. You people are very strange. It's only going to last a minute or less most times.

Oh, I forgot, you're all younguns who haven't figgered life out yet. 😉
