There used to be a really good Thai place in South Coast Plaza on the top floor. They had a seafood green curry they served in a hollowed out pineapple that was delicious. Thai curry is pretty awesome in general. I prefer red curries, but they're all great.

I have a Thai aunt that makes awesome Thai food as well, her red curry beef was my favorite. Haven't seen her in years or had any of her cooking since I left CA though.

I really miss the awesome variety of food available in that area. Especially great Thai, Indian and Hawaiian (real Hawaiian, not just pork and teriyaki beef). We finally got some decent Indian restaurants here in the last couple of years. I was surprised it took so long considering how many Indian families live here because of Wal-Mart IT.

When I am in Thailand I hit the awesome food stalls in Bangkok. Sticky rice and sweet chicken! Love it. They also have freshly squeezed juice for $1.

My local does a wicked Kaeng pa.

No idea if thats an authentic, or even real, Thai dish but its amazing (bloody hot as well).

Thai coconut curries are gross.

Their fried rices and any dish with tamarind sauce is AMAZING. Curry puffs, roti...mmm thai food is mostly awesome, just wish they'd stop with the coconut.

Seek professional help, coconut is awesome and coconut + curry is doubly so. YOUR OPINION IS WRONG. :colbert: 😛

It was interesting last year when I was in Alaska to see all the Thai restaurants in Fairbanks....still not sure why that is. Went to a couple and they were great.

Probably a bunch of Thai people who were sick of heat and humidity. "Fuck this, I'm moving to Alaska! GO TO HELL SUN!"
