Talk, talk, talk

I don't know what is right in all of this. I can understand taking extreme measures. I can also understand trying to be calm and sort things out before striking.

The one thing I can't take anymore is all the TALK. I don't want to hear about a "war on terrorism". I don't want to hear about how tough we are, how great our "spirit" is, and all of that.

If we take action, I support it 100%. If we don't, okay. But please, please don't make us listen to more political posturing.

That's all I have to say about it.

Hey partner. People are just trying to reassure themselves and each other. I know what you mean, but when it gets longwinded, just go back to work or whatever. I mean, I'm *with* you, but others may need to listen for a while longer.

I don't know. I'd rather have days/weeks of discussions instead of some quick, harsh action that hasn't been well thought out.

This a precipice in history. The steps we take now could save or doom us. We need to talk, talk, and talk and don't stop talking until we come to the truth and a just consensus.

I guess I was unclear.

I'm glad people are talking about what should be done. I am just tired of the sabre-rattling. Every time a major terrorism event occurs, politicians make a lot of public statements about how great America is, how the guilty will be punished, yada yada yada.

I know we are all frustrated and feel helpless. I just don't think it helps to do all that mouthing off.

Ah, sabre rattling. Yeah, I guess hearing someone say in ominous tones "we're going to hunt down the cowards and, " (drum roll) "bring them to justice!" or (drum roll) "do whatever is necessary!" is kind of anti-climatic.

Ugh. It would be nice if they simply looked at the camera and said, "You're all going to die." And then it happened that way.

I dunno. I have mixed emotions about it. I feel that we need to show our support of our nation. Many times we don't feel anything cuz it's always "someone else." Not this time. They came into our HOME and destroyed innocent civilians. I am glad to know how strong our nation is when it comes to things like this.

I agree, all the speculation/talk is good, or I can take it or leave it, but the sabre rattling = thumbs down. Though I would support the actual use of the sabres, just keep the rattling down until you see the whites of their eyes.
