Talk me out of a CTS-V

Won't talk you out of it OP, would encourage it. Seriously sweet performance, but personally don't care for the looks.
I _really_ wish Lincoln would stop making those FWD abominations and release a competitive RWD replacement for the LS 🙁

Not currently in the market ... but you seem like the type of guy who it's not a bad idea to buy a used car from ... (as in, you know your shit and take care of your "fleet".)...

hit me up if you really decide to go that route and put your Forester on the market ... Also, any advice to avoid speeding tickets during a drive from AZ to IL would be appreciated 🙂

Top gear had James May driving the CTS-V and he actually fell in love with it .... Seemed overall like a truly badass set of wheels

yeah +400 on that he is certainly the person you wanna buy a car from. he has put alot of love an proper maintance into that car and it runs flawless. its so up to date on routine maintance its gonna be 30K miles before it needs another major service. this is his forester its awesome!

Hmm for 10-15k I'd search for a 540i

Legacy GT if you could stay subaru.

The used sport sedan's are either pricey (bmw/mb/audi), or boy racer (EVO/STI)

CTS-V fits the niche, as readily available parts for the drivetrain, luxury image in Cadillac, but there aren't as many out there.

Still if you can get a G8 GT for under 20k I'd just do that.

Again, 540i's are way too slow. My Forester is faster. Yeah I know, there's a lot more to a car than just power, but I don't want to take a step backwards in that department.

Go for the current generation!

I'm not a rich ATOT'er. 🙁

Have you test driven one? I'm curious what your driving impressions of it are if you have.

I looked at one once new but didn't drive it. Way too damned expensive new.

Not yet - that's definitely first on my list before I take any steps towards actually purchasing one.
