i heard a movie reviewer bring up a line in empire strikes back where obi wan is talking to yoda and the line is something about obi wan being a student/being taught by yoda , but no where in Eps. 1-3 is obi wan trained by yoda

They actually addressed that at the end of Ep III. Where he says he is going to train Obi-wan to communion with Qui-Gon in the Netherworld. Or some such junk.

that isn't incongruous. the little kid was a great pilot.


the really incogruous part is:

real mother?

Just a little bit. She died when I was very
young.

What do you remember?

LEIA
Just...images, really. Feelings.

LUKE

Yes it is. In Episode II, Jango Fett calls him Boba.

Yoda taught lightsaber training to younglings in Episode II, it would be reasonable to assume that all Jedi have more than one teacher at some point, including Obi-Wan.

Well 'very young' is open to interpretation. Also, because she's the child of a Jedi (and likely somewhat force sensitive because of it) there's no telling what kind of connection she would have made with her mother, even from the womb.

according to the books, hes not even a clone, jango doesnt exist, and he served in the stormtroopers.

From the way Luke phrases the question and her lack of suprise about why he would say "real mother", I assume that she did know. Organa couldn't keep the fact that he adopted a baby a secret, only who she was.
