MJK has one of the best voices ive ever heard, rock or otherwise. too bad APC sucks so much, tho i can still appreciate his talent.

thankfully tool is still going tho.

I wouldn't call spitting out one 15 track album every 5 years "going". Especially when a few of the tracks are allways just garbage filler. I wish they'd get it together and lay down a new album but who the hell knows when that will happen :(

i heard this coming summer that tool will be working on a new album.

i agree it sucks waiting so long between albums, but i think id rather have them take the time, then spit out 1 year and exhaust all the talent they have. too many bands with potential do that. i also agree some seem like fillers, but i find that most of them set a mood for the album or upcoming song.

i have a sinking feeling that the next album wont be up to standard. the old 4th album curse so many bands fall into. 1st album, great. second album, great. 3rd album, good. by the 4th, nothing left in the talent pool to draw from, and it all seems repetitive, cause youve heard all they have to offer. hopefully im wrong, but it has rung true too many times for me to hold out too much hope.

Lateralus was the fourth album ;) Opiate, Undertow, Aenima, Lateralus :) So you don't need to worry about that at least ;) I'm just worried that maynard is even interested in tool anymore. We'll see I guess. Summer is good but that's still a long time to wait on the actual release :(

The frontman for Shine Down gets my vote for best "new" talent. That guy's got some chords! I'm a big Maynard fan though too.

Clan of Xymox is one of the most amazing bands ever, though you have to be familiar with the genre. It's an acquired taste.

Peter Murphy (Bauhaus, and some solo work)
David Lee Roth (don't laugh.. he had some good vocal range)

MJK is great, and I for one really enjoy APC, as well as Tool. I cannot wait for a new Tool Album but APC's 13th step satisfied me very much.
