maybe he was being a bit sarcastic, kinda having an inside joke at Brand New's expense to anyone in the audience that knew about it? Maybe they actually were friends at the time? TBS trying to take the high road? Possibilites are endless :)

Eh, who knows :), thanks for the "insider info".

I like both bands, I think both are talented. Though I really don't like the new Brand New album, I think its too slow and "boring". Your Favorite Weapon was very punkish and upbeat, and I liked that. TBS on the other hand, I love both albums.

Meanwhile, its great to see others who share the same taste in music, espically for such "unknown bands". Though, TBS is going to get big soon, I can guarantee it.

Dude, you forgot the most important part.

After their rant, they try to be "hardcore" by telling her to go F her self.

Useless genre if you ask me...to each his own though.

The Warrped Tour is really turning into the "Top 40 mainstrem rock band tour" lately, isn't it?

You're right, it is. Usually bands start off with a small, but dedicated fanbase. Friends of that fanbase start to show up, word gets out, and next thing you know, the band balloons in popularity.

Good Charlotte is a prime example.

i was at the jimmy kimmel show up on the roof. it was TBS's first tv apperance, they did like 6 or 7 songs. but only 2 showed up on tv. the guy running the stage in the back said they had a line all the way to vine(hollywood and vine) which was like 6 blocks away. it was the most people that every showed up to see a band at the jimmy kimmel show. i hope they dont get to big, then all the stupid people start liking them.

ya there was a big fued between tbs and brand new(brand new is eh) and they talked mess for awhile then they made up. the girl the guy slept with is the female voice on the first album, shes also in straylight run. my friend has the hoody of "proudly swinging", she got it at the palladium show i mentioned earlier.

Ah! You were also at Central Florida Fairgrounds! If you check out the last link in my thread, with the pictures, you'll see my friend's pictures who also went. I wanted to go, but didn't. But I did get to see them at the Virgin Megastore signing at Pleasure Island.

Yep, I was there and got nailed in the back by a crowdsurfer's head. :)

I saw your friend has pics of avenged sevenfold. I had never heard of them before, but I was really impressed. They've got a weird sort of hybrid of metal, emo, and goth.

I had a good time, but unfortunately I had to leave early and missed coheed&cambria and Bad Religion two bands i really wanted to see.

Haha, yeah, stuff like that happenes at huge/big venues, espically for such a popular band. You're bound to get kicked, pushed, and hit in the middle of a crowd. You really have to watch yourself sometimes.

Avenged Sevenfold is really skilled, I love the guitarist "solos". They're on a few of the Warped Tour Compliation CDs. I don't know much from them though.

I saw Coheed and Cambria at a Thursday/Thrice show, I'm not really a big fan of them, but they put on a good show for there fans. People who like them, seem to love them.

Were there any other bands/performances worthy of mentioning? I went last year, but didn't go this year.

I thought Letterkills were pretty good, they've got a really good guitarist too. Flogging Molly was fun, I'd heard of them but never really listened to anything before. The Matches were cool. Yellowcard sucked.

I just got a few songs of their's... they're not bad. All of this kind of music reminds me of high school though. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Lately I've been getting into bands like them, Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Bane, stuff like that. It's good to hear new music as I seem to have exhausted the metal genre.

Exhausted the metal genre? You musn't listen to any decent bands then. What kinda stuff do you generally listen to? I can give you a few bands that you would probably like.
