Taking apart a clock...

I have a regular round clock that i wish to take the "hands" off of so i can put a picture in the middle of it. However, this seems like a rather complicated problem. Right now my solution is to cut through the picture and have it open half way slip it in with a hole already cut in the middle of the picture...any other suggestions?

I've tried to sleep the hole in the middle of teh picture through the hands of the clock but no luck...

Never tried to open clocks - but it might be possible to unmount just the "hands". However, you need small screwdrivers and a lot of patience

I've done this many times. The hands usually thread onto a threaded spindle. Just look at any generic clock movement with hands removed for packaging.

i know some fathers in that position....

if the hands bend a little, set them together and bend them a little out, the pic may fit. if not, look and see what is hold the hands there

the hands should be on a threaded spindle with a single scre clamping them in position - you do not want to in from the back

so cutting the picture in half and trying to fix the cut later so that the cut is less visible would be the best solution?
