Taking a trip to San Diego

The gf and I will be taking a 3 day jaunt to San Diego in a couple weeks and I was looking for fun stuff to do that might not be as apparent as the normal tourist stuff. We are going to catch a Padres game at PetCo park one day and check out the gaslamp quarter in addition to UCSD (transferring next year). Any other awesome ideas?

Drinking not at the top of the list. I drink socially but the gf tends to stay sober.

Balboa Park is a good place for tourists, a lot of museums and some good restaurants. The San Diego Zoo is right near there as well. Although, I would highly recommend hitting the beach, the weather here for that is perfect right now.

there's a beach in la jolla that's actually artificially lit at night (it's a restauarant doing it i think) but that's sorta neat, you can do stuff there, and if that's not youre flavor, the closer you get to the waves, the less light there is. We mainly threw frisbe's which was cool doing it at night since no one was there, etc...

Sammy's woodfried pizze is pretty good, and it's kinda 'datey' so to speak
