Taking a laptop to Europe with an adaptor plug, will it work?

Hey guys,

I'm taking my laptop to Europe and was wondering if Ill be able to plug it into the outlet's there even though the voltage is different? I have an adaptor plug. I just don't want to mess it up, I don't need a voltage converter right?

Laptop is a new Acer Timeline X.

All the laptop A/C adapters I have had or seen work for all commercial voltages. All you need is a simple plug adapter. The A/C adapter is already a voltage converter. Continental Europe uses a plug with rounded pins. UK is different.

Thanks man, that's what I was thinking. It's a brand new laptop so I am pretty sure it supports both voltages, I bought the plug adaptor.

To really give yourself peace of mind, look for something like this on the bottom sticker of your A/C adapter:

yeah watch out old apple products will BLOW UP. they did this on purpose for a period of time. to stop folks from selling 699$ mac mini's to UK where they go for 699 quid ($1000)
