That is insane. I think those of you who paint or have ever tried it can truly appreciate the skill involved in making a picture like that.
 
The paintings are very good. I have never been there so I don't know if the streets, building etc. are as clan and neat as what he has painted.
 
The paintings are very good technically, but what is the artistic value? If your painting looks exactly like a photograph, then just take a photograph. There is no creativity or imagination in the paintings, it's just an exact copy.

Well, that is unless he was trying to make a statement - that humans in general just take nothing more than a glance at something before they make up their minds about it. By not paying attention to the details, we sometimes miss out on something really amazing.

Maybe he was even leading us into disliking the painting, its perfection seems to take away some value. His message may be that we should strive to be great, but it's our little imperfections and quirks that give us character.

Or maybe he didn't intend for the painting to have a meaning at all, but, for all art, every person takes away something different.
