I'm surprised nobody posted this already - 100-packs of FujiFilm CDRs (Taiyo Yudens) are available at Best Buy for $19.99 after a $10 MIR. I placed an order for pick-up last night, and when I went into the store, there were in stock! Does nobody purchase good media anymore? :p

Take a chill pill, you're pimping a thread on your own Hot Deals website? LOL.

<< Addenum: Get the rebate faster with Fujifilm Fash Cash eBate. >>

I tried that on a Circuit City rebate, received my two rebate checks within 3 weeks of submitting the info and mailing hardcopies. Not bad.

I was at Best Buy B&M today and saw these CD-Rs, picked up the package and sure enough it says MADE IN JAPAN! which is good news.

I had totally forgotten to use the Fast Cash eBate with the CC deal and have yet to receive my rebates. :(

I never knew about it until I saw the URL on the bottom of the CC rebate receipt.

Thanks,
They seem like good cdr's.
I can only get them to burn at 12X so far.
They just don't like 16x for me.

I had some left over from a purchase about a little more than a year ago, and they were marked 16x. I put them in my TDK (Lite-On) 24x and got immaculate burns. You may also recall that some people peeled the stickers off some of the recent 24x Fujifilm CDRs and found that it used to be rated at 16x. I would look for other sources of trouble rather than the media.

for those who have got in on this deal, what do they mean when they say i need to send them the original ebate?

A. A printed copy of this screen. Keep one copy for your records and mail the other
B. Original or photocopy of the store register receipt with the eligible product circled
C. Original UPC code from the 100 Pack Spindle
D. The original eBate

THere is one thing I have to say about jujis yes they may be good qualities but I have found the TDKS/verbatims also to be much more dependable.
THe other thing is that these cds take FOREVER TO BURN ON PLEXTORS like 4:30 instead of 3 min

So far you are the only one saying that...

What I would like to know is, which type of TDK's you are using, there are the Riteks and the TYs.

;)

LOL, I am still burning at 12 x and 8x and I still think it is fast to burn cd at less than 10 minutes :)

Guess, I have to get a new burner to spoil myself :)

This is a pretty good deal for TY cd's.

I burn at 12x with my Plextor with these Fuji TY cd's no problem.

What's the difference between these and say TDK's? I've never had any CDR fail on me and have burned hundreds, including no name brands. If The CD is going to last 100 years instead of 50 I don't care. :)

Anyone have any insight as to why these burn slower on a Plextor drive than other brands of media? I have a Plextor 24/10/40 and am looking for a hot deal on media for it. One of the recommended manufacturers is TY, so was planning to jump on this deal, but maybe I should reconsider?

TIA

Chuckwits, DPOverLord had another thread on this. So far there has no one here that has confirmed his statement, that is up to you though.

I have 4 CDRWS sitting at home, Liteon24x, Plextor 24x, Plextor 16x, SCSI 12x. On 24x I have no different in burning time on different types of media.

To each thier own

Some of the discs Fuji is selling as 24x discs are actually rebadged 16x discs. Yeah they are still Taiyo's, but older Taiyo's. Many of the 24x writers I've tested have had problems recognizing that these discs can write at 24x and only like to write to them at 16x. Yeah, you might be able to choose 24x in Nero, but take a look at the writing times. If you're taking 5 minutes to write a CD, you're not writing at 24x.

I have noticed that Fuji is finally selling non-relabeled 24x disc packs too. These might be actual 24x Taiyo discs, but I have not picked any up to check.

For the Fujifilm Fash Cash eBate, there is a box that asks for the store number, what would that be if you ordered it from the Bestbuy website?

Thanks ppl, gotta jump on this deal

Why are the TY cds better than the other ones?
