printable, so it could be :thumbsdown: if you don't like that paper feeling, or :thumbsup: since it offers more protection than the 1st kind (1st kind is glossy, unprotected)

BTW, There is still a 10% coupon out there that is valid till 2/28. I'll give you a hint, use the OP Google link and start from the bottom of the top 5 results.

I got in on that paypal $15 off $30 deal before the changed the terms so I'm using that on this to save $15 instead of just $10. LOL, I should get one of those debit cards from paypal, sign up for Google check out with it and see if I can get $25 off. Doesn't matter these will be free anyways, I got that free $20 from that other paypal deal by letting a friend pay for something with my account.

Does the bold part above mean that the Google $10 off deal is good the first time you use it at each retailer, or the first time you use it PERIOD?

And if you have more than one gmail account...can you use this deal on every one you have?

Agree on the Ritek's. Used to be good but no longer. I've had very good luck with Verbatim. In 4 1. Thanks OP!

These are among the best you can get, read through the comments in this thread.
No burn errors and they will last decades longer than other brands.
That's why we're all over this deal.

The ones I received are rated 8x and that's what they are burning at.

Some folks on this thread have said they sometimes have received 16x disks on this deal.

These are the best cheapest TY disks you can find. My burner recognizes them @ 12x, but i think to get the best quality burns, you should burn them @ 8x

Where is a reliable source to get a smaller quantity? Fifty would be plenty for me.

you cannot buy better blanks then the tyg02's. they are worth 40 cents a disc easily. you cant put a price on quality, and these discs work just as good as metal pressed discs.

Not sure if there is still a google checkout discount here, but I just bought a refill of these using a 10% off coupon. Just do a google search for shop4tech and it should come up. It doesn't expire until march 31st. Shipping is free so these end up being about $0.25 each. If you haven't used the google checkout discount before it might be worth a try.

Not to thread crap but doesn't Rima.com seem cheaper ???

For instance, they sell a TY 8X DVD-R (Mfg. # DVD-R47ZZSB8) for $27/100pcs.

The shop4tech price is $28/100 for the TY "Valueline" 8X DVD-R (Mfg. # DVD-R47VAL600SK).

What am I missing here ? I noted above in the thread that the only difference is supposed to be the packaging ... but wait, the Rima TY's say they are thermal printable and shipping is ~$7, not free. But then shop4tech charges $47 for these before the 10% off. And Rima doesn't carry the TY "Valuelines".

Decisions, decisions ...

why are these better then say a pack of office max brand blank dvd's or a pack of memorex dvd-rws?
