anybody buy form supermedia store before?
I never have but $0.37 per DVD shipped sounds pretty good, though I haven't looked for DVD media too much so I am not sure if that is a great deal or not

90% of my discs come from them.

great deals, without rebate hassles.

Ritech DVD's 8x burning at 12x in my Pioneer 108 is a great thing with kitties.

My cats love playing with discs...cd/dvd...I buy a lot of movies and music. I back them all up and store the originals. I have no idea why they like digital media but they do.

If it was ethical I'd shoot their emails off to my whole company (5000+)...I am sure someone would buy each day.

SUPERMEDIASTORE.COM > most.

bump for new deal on the same product. Not as hot, but still not bad for those who need media now.

Thanks to ActiveX for finding this. From the picture these are the same that Shop4Tech had. Since Shop4Tech is OOS and it doesn't look like they are going to get any more in any time soon I thought I'd put this up. If it weren't for shipping this would be smoking hot, but still, $34 isn't bad for 100 DVDs of this quality. I'd hold out for Shop4tech, but I'm burning highlight videos for a local softball team that won the state tournament and I can't wait.

coupon of "d10poff" has to be applied at the payment page

New coupon at shop4tech.com, "LD10", for 10% off. Expires 9/8/05.

Unfortunately, the 4x's are not in stock and I doubt they will be back in stock
since the 4x's are being phased out. Too bad, I burn at 4x on the 8's anyway.
I think you get better burning at 4, though I sometimes burn at 6.

All they have TY are the DVD- and DVD+8's, $47.00/100 right now:

s4t TY's

I think even with the 10% you can get these cheaper either on sales at BB or other
online stores. $47.00 - $4.70 = $42.30, free ship, tax for me in California but I guess
not in other places.

FYI
you are right on target with the coupon but the uc10 code doesn't work, maybe its for something else other then dvd media. I can burn 4x media at 8x by modifying my nec burner to do so. model number is 3540a

fyi, prices are much higher then it was 6 months ago. 500 pk of 4x dvd-r from shop4tech can be had for as little as 65.00 with coupon applied, now cost 85.50!
a difference of 25.50.. just horrible. 🙁

Bumping this after a long time...

The 4x TY's are back, $31 and free ground shipping. Use coupon codes UC10 until 11/30/05 for 10% off. Or try code PS10 -- unknown expiration.

(codes taken from Ultimatecoupons link above).

Shop4tech also has decent prices on 8x discs, which I plan to buy...

I tried both codes but only got "Sorry, we were unable to validate the Coupon Code you entered."

Well, I decided to take my chances on getting some TYG02 or TYG03. $31 - $3.10 (10% off coupon) = $27.90, and free shipping. Can't beat that.

I'll report back when I get them.

when they start shipping TYG02, email me. 🙂

oops, i didnt read the end of the thread. Can a couple more people confirm TYG03 before I buy?

I just ordered 200 from Shop4tech and will post after I get them.
In other forums guys posting in the last week are saying they have received both TYG01's and TYG03's from their ?Value Line? purchase.
I believe the claim that TY "Value Line" is nothing more than a marketing term TY has developed to combat cheap Taiwan and Hong Kong media that cuts deeply into TY profits, as it always undersells TY. As such TY will deplete their stock and sell all their media as ?Value Line? seeing no need for identification.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I received 2 100 packs of Taiyo Yuden Value DVD-R from Shop4Tech.
Tested one from each pack with "DVD Identifer" and both are TYG03.

The deal is back up at shop4tech. New coupon of "Xmas10". 100 DVD-R @ $31 with free shipping - 10% off with coupon makes it $27.90 shipped.

Receieved 100 today (ordered 11/30/05). Unfortunately it looks like I got the TYG01 discs rated at 4x. My NEC 3520a seems to be able to burn them at 8x though. Anyone else with this experience?

Also, I just got back from Best Buy, and all of their Fuji DVD+R 50 packs @ $14.99 were Made in Taiwan (i.e. NOT Taiyo Yudens). YMMV but I was hoping to find some more Fuji-branded TY's there since I have a $75 gift card.

My last batch was TYG02!!! This is my output from DVD Identifier for the last batch of 100 that I bought. This batch was from supermediastore.com, I'm about to order another batch for a Christmas present from shop4tech. I'll let you know what they show up as.

I could always rely on my bb for mij fujis since no one really bothered with anything but the cheapest stuff. For some reason, they cleared out all the old stock & they have a ton of +r & -r in new labels. Even the little 25 packs they had were gone & replaced over the weekend. Strange.

What I find really odd is that Walkure and I ordered from Shop4Tech the same day, received them on the same day, and he got TYG01's and I got TYG03's.

If you have 4x burner then you will be limited to 4x but for most 8x burners like nec 2100a/2500a/2510a tyg01,02,03 it's 8x even if 02,03 are supposedly 12x and 16x respectively.
TYG02,TYG03 should do 12x/16x on most modern burners.
TYG01 may or not not able to burn at 12x maybe just 8x, that's stock speed.
These are expensive, I wouldn't buy any when I can get that same amount for half the price.
Burn time for 8x vs 12x, is only 3min.slower.
8x vs 16x, 4min.slower.
Not a whole lot of difference? 8x is favorite among users due best speed vs quality. Most media have no problems burning at this speed even if the quality is just average.
