Taiwan Memorex 8x DVD-R's any good?

I just bought a 50 pack of Memorex 8x DVD-R disks that I just noticed say made in Taiwan on the label. I remember you guys saying Japan disks are the best and Taiwans are not as good. Should I bring them back or are they any good?

Thanks,

I've only ever heard bad things about Memorex disc media. Of course if they didn't perform in an exceptionally good manner we probably wouldn't hear anything positive about them at all, even if they were just decent. Likewise, we would only hear about their bad performance if they really stood out among the lousy media out there.

Couldn't find the DVD -R on Amazon.Com, but their +R reviews are either 4-5 stars or only 1 star. Read for yourself, it seems they can be picky depending on the type of burner, et cetera. One reviewer had a 30% failure rate with his.
