The "easiest" heatsink for socket A is still pretty damn hard. When I first installed my 733 HSF I was streaming with sweat because I though I was going to break something, mainly my 1.1 Ghz prize. When you apply force with a screwdriver, it's not all that simple. You can easily slip and bust a hole through your motherboard or end up putting too much force on the die.
Anyways I would "practice" trying without the actual chip in place first if you're a bit nervous. And don't forget the thermal paste.
