What is a good cheap heat sink fan combo that is quiet, the older taisol one I have on my cpu is as loud as hell an doesn't cool so hot either 51-55 degrees

I am running a 1.333 athlon in a 1040 antec case
on a 8k7a+ mobo

I wonder if that antec1040 power supply is contributing to the problem, it is really hard to tell if most of the sound is coming from the PSU fan or the heatsink fan?????

Or should I just buy new fans????????? If so what kind of fan/fans should I get?

Personally, I have an Alpha PAL8045 topped with an Enermax Adjustable 80mm, but many people have been recommending the SVC GC68 of late. It definitely is low cost, and people seem to have been happy with it's performance.

Good luck!

anymore possible solutions to add, would a volcano 7 or a dragon orb run pretty quiet or not.

would I have to replace the fan? in either of those to make them fairly quiet

If you're looking for quiet, I would definitely avoid the HSF combo's with 60mm fans. These smaller fans have to spin considerably faster to generate the same airflow. Higher speed = louder.
