"tagging" for later?

I think you just click the little star at the top or bottom of the thread and it adds it to your favorites.

Post in the thread, and then it shows up in your list when you click "My forums" at the top of the screen.

Edit: There is also the little star to add it to your favorites, but you don't have to post in the thread to do that - so I think when someone says they're tagging the thread for later, they're not actually adding it to their favorites.

post in it so it shows up in your my forums menu under recent posts, or send yourself an email

edit: too slow 🙁 dang you mugs...

exactly
which makes "tagging" by either subscribing or posting so it shows up in "my forums" is simply lame. I hate the "tagged for later" posts. Fools don't know how to use the forums. Just add to your favorites and its now a quick link on your left column. "Tagging" is simply a nef.

You're right, I didn't even know about that. Thanks for the heads up. EDIT: Meh, not that great 'cause you have to remove it from your favorites manually. I still prefer the "marked for later" method.

Every post on this forum is a nef.

all these years, I never knew about that feature the "my forums"

I'd use search to finding threads I posted in recently.

If I add a post to my favorites, I almost never remember to check it again. I always check my recent posts in my forums to see if any threads I'm posting in have new replies. I assume a lot of people are like me in that respect.

I use del.icio.us, actually.

I was going to use it to keep all of my bookmarks in one place, but it didn't allow for grouping like I wanted, so I just use it to stuff in random URLs that I don't feel like reading right then, but will when I have the time.

I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority when it comes to that though.
