I'm a noob so please be gentle! ;) I've scanned through the forums looking for an answer to my question, but can't find it so here I am! :D

I'm currently assembling components for my new system and I have the Tagan 480-U01 Power supply and Asus A8N-SLI (non deluxe, I don't need the extras). My Tagan comes with a 20 pin ATX plug and a 4 pin ATX plug that sits alongside the 20 pin to completely fill the motherbaord socket (it's slotted so it looks like 1 24 pin plug). My question is................

Do I still need to put a plug in the other 4 pin socket above the CPU as well or not? The Tagan comes with 2 of those as well, but marked P4??? But they are 12v.

Thanks! :)

P.S. The manual is as clear as mud on this, hence the question

You mean the one like in this pic at the top right ,yes it goes in the small 4 pin socket near the back of the CPU area.

Look at this photo ,you see it goes near top right at back of motherboard ,click on the board pic to get an enlarged view.

Btw the Tagan ATX 24 power cable, you don`t need to use the supplied ATX 24 pin to 20 pin adaptor lead, since the Asus has an ATX 24 pin socket,it`s only needed(24 pin to 20 pin adaptor) for older boards that have ATX 20 pin socket.

Thanks Mem!

So to clarify, the 24 pin socket is totally occupied AND the 4 pin above the CPU is as well. Sorry to sound dumb, but I've seen so many do's and dont's I don't want to frazzle the board before I even start! :Q
