Yes they are, and unfortunately, S&W sold out long ago.
They put their name on any garbage oversees product they can.
The only decent thing they make are guns. Everything else is chinese garbage.

I own and carry a tactical pen. You can use it to break a car windows out or jab someone in the eyes. It's really a kubotoon. There are other forms of defense as well. http://www.thehomesecuritysuperstor...efense-weapons-self-defense-keychains-sub=183

Best part about a tactical pen is that you can take it on a plane.
