I like the idea, but I'm not fond of spreading my name around on petitions for dubious benefit. Has a petition ever worked?

OMFG people still play TO? I loved that game back in the day, but I'd expect it to be close to dead now.

I got started with Unreal on the 2k3 series. I never seriously played the earlier versions. Old games can still be fun, and they usually have a dedicated following. Plus side is people don't act like Xbox tards, and are generally more serious and respectful. Downside is if you don't know how to play well, you'll get your ass handed to you, cause most people have been playing since the game came out.

I'd love to see an Unreal engine game go open source. I like arena combat, and the Unreal engine gives you a great set of tools. A benefit to Epic would be getting people used to hacking on their engines, and they might be inclined to try the later ones, and maybe pay them a license fee for using a new engine in a commercial product.

omg, UT99...hooked for a couple years. clans, ladders, competition, cheaters, accusations...love me some good ol' instagib.

Steam has UT99 GOTY edition for like $15 bucks, and it runs on linux...so tempted.

Oh man, I was a die hard UT99 Low Grav Instagib guy. I was usually ranked in the top 20 on nGstats for that game mode.
