Traditionally soft shell Mexican tacos are great. Especially fish tacos. The hard shell ones you get here are too messy. Burritos are good if the ingredients are fresh.

I don't like burritos since they've usually 80% rice. Main reason I don't find Chipotle very good.

Tacos are 100% all the good stuff. Meat, cheese, sour cream, salsa, pico de gallo, etc. Nom.

Had steak tacos at an authentic Mexican restaurant last night. Awesome.

Burrito as it's much easier to eat not to mention the shell tastes better then stale bits of glass that cuts your mouth up.

Plus you tend to get better ingredients in them then what taco's normally come with.

Soft shell taco's might as well simply be called open faced burrito's. 😛

I like em both. The only real difference in what I put in them is that I put lettuce on tacos, and not on burritos. Otherwise....pretty much the same.

If I'm making lunch, nine times out of ten it's a burrito rather than a taco. If I'm out of the house and I'm hungry as hell and want something cheap and filling, a peel-and-eat burrito, even if it's half rice and beans, is my go-to.

But at most restaurants, and even food trucks, tacos are typically a hell of lot more creative. Many places that have some type of taco on the menu won't have any kind of burrito.

Burrito. I gotta admit though that my experience with Mexican style food is very limited to a few sources. I have eaten mostly frozen burritos(edible), fast food burritos are limited to Taco Time(decent, better than frozen), Taco Bell(once and very disappointing), Taco Kits from grocery stores(pretty good if prepared well), Home made fillings store bought soft tortillas both by myself and other people(very good), 1 small town restaurant and 1 Taco Truck(both excellent). I would enjoy being in an area with a lot of Mexicans around, to get more variety.
