Tack strips to concrete, and what the heck, Home Depot?

For anchoring tack strip? Seems like just a bit of overkill to me.
Also note that this is a necro thread. The Dr has been gone for a long time.

Ahhh, didn't catch that.

As far as overkill, it may be, but it will bore through concrete with minimal effort, and you can drill 100's of holes with one bit. I don't think I've ever burned up a concrete bit unless I tried to drill through rebar. Aggregate is no problem.

I've ruined more than a few bits. As the carbide cutters wear down they reach the point where they're ever so slightly narrower than the shaft, the bit then binds and you end up bending it.
