Curious as to how the 2 vents on the side panel help. Does the passive airflow through the lower vent create enough cooling to video cards? Can the upper duct be directed over the top of the video card or northbridge area?

 
TAC = Thermally Advantaged Chassis.

It's an Intel case design guideline that was implemented when they released the 533MHz P4 3.06GHz CPU.
