I am using Google DNS and the AnandTech forums load in a jiff!

If you don't want to follow the links:

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

are the main DNS and backup DNS addresses.

Try them! You'll like them!

Open dns user here.

208.67.222.222 (resolver1.opendns.com)
208.67.220.220 (resolver2.opendns.com)
208.67.222.220
208.67.220.222 http://forums.anandtech.com/#cite_note-all_IPs-14

It would be interesting to do some timings between the two.

Google has the fastest search engine and is using it for the Domain Names. Pages with multiple sources do the searches in parallel, which makes the forum loads much faster than my ISP, comcast.net.

I haven't done any technical diagnostics, but the Google DNS servers don't "feel" any faster than the standard Comcast servers on my home cable connection. However, I do use the 8.8.4.4 address on the T1 connection at work since the ISP's DNS servers are extremely slow (as much as 300-500ms delay).

The main advantage is the parallel look-ups on sites (like AnandTech) that has a lot of multiple-sources on each page (those are called Ads.)
