Tablets are revolutionary because you can use them while standing up

Otherwise, a touchscreen is less efficient than a mouse+keyboard.

But even with a laptop there is a bit of setup involved. With a tablet, you can be more mobile and keep on moving.

😱 AMAZING

:hmm: trying to think of scenarios where I would use/need a computer while standing, or even worse: moving... Can't think of much..
Guess I'm not the target market?

Yes, it's true... laptops start to melt, smoke, and make sparks when you try to use them while standing..... and tablets do not.

Seriously though, I've never found it difficult to use a laptop while standing.

It has nothing to do with standing or sitting. It has everything to do with holding in one hand, while controlling with the other.

And, the modern smart phone is just a small tablet. They too can be used standing or sitting, or even lying down. <LOL>

I love my tablet (iPad2) because it's light, makes zero noise, doesn't get hot (or even warm...) and runs for what feels like an eternity. I just pick it up, press home, slide and away I go! Everything is a finger tap / swipe away.

... which is something I've always been able to do well with a laptop.
Sure, its possible, but why doesn't anybody do this? Because it sucks. Its too big and too heavy.

Even a 10" tablet without a keyboard is bordering on too heavy for most users. A 10" tablet (or netbook) WITH a keyboard is simply too heavy to comfortably hold in one hand for an extended period. It might be possible, but it gets annoying very quickly. A 7" to 10" tablet is holdable by most people without discomfort or annoyance for more than a few minutes.

I'd actually rather walk around with a laptop cradled in my arm than a tablet... there's more to hold on to, so it's not as cumbersome over time.

Look, I like laptops more than tablets too but please don't try and argue that. They are not more comfortable to carry around than a tablet.

I'm not arguing anything... I'm saying what I find more comfortable. Neither you nor anyone else's agreement with that is required or desired.

You use a notebook standing up, holding it with one hand and typing with the other?

How long do you do this for?

What size is your notebook, which model?
