HELP!!! I need a quicky response. I have a TABLET that I purchased in May of this year. It fell from my lap and when I piced it up ... that is when I saw some damage to the screen. And, of course, I don't even have it completely paid for!!!

Can ANYONE help me or even give me some idea of: 1. Can it be repaired? and 2. Is the cost going to be worth it?

Hubby is asleep...doesn"t know and I am freaking out. So, again....PUHLEEZE tell me something to do....PLEASE HELP me.

THanks

Many brands have replacement screens you can buy. I'm assuming you're talking about a computer tablet screen. Look it up on the internet.

I guess I didn't explain _ as well as I could have. Or, maybe I am not understanding. I'm not concerned about the literas "Screen"...that didn't get damaged. What I am saying that the incident has damaged the area of the screen that is below it...inotherwords, what I VIEW ON MY SCREEN has a blank area. NOT the complete screen but, enought that I am unable to view what is in that area of damage.

If someone could tell me where / how to take a pic of it to include inthe post, etc. that might help/ Anyway, if Anyone CAN ASSIST me, I am ok with gving out my phone number to discuss further. Again, Thanks and again, HELP, HELP Please

1. Can it be repaired?
2. Is the cost going to be worth it?
1. Yes. Its usually replaced as a whole regardless of any damage to the display. Its best left to a skilled technician to replace, not something that is easily DIY.
2. Depends. Popular ones might have a lot of spare parts and possibly cheaper but budget ones tend to have costly spare parts. If its an iPad, its better to send it back but you will have to fork out for the repairs.

Looks like I am just screwed. I purchased it just about 2 months ago from "ShopNBC" using their, "flex pay" option. AND, of course I didn't purchase the insurance on it...DAMMY !@#%^*()_+

Either way, I plan to "Fall on MY SWORD" or "beg for THEIR MERCY." BECAUSE....My husband purchased it for me to using during...CHEMO!!! AND for that very reason,
I will let them know - and's it's the truth - how I didn't even open the box up for about 2 weeks after it arrived as I was too sick to even be interested in it.

Anyway, wish me luck. I sure could use some in a BIG WAY!!

Thanks for all the replies people!!! I stumbled on this site about 10 years ago. And have ALWAYS experienced such quick and helpful responses ANYTIME I have had some computer issues!!!

So, to ALL of you who have hung around this joint...no matter how long...I say, THANKS!

Ha! Ha! I just said, "joint" Tee Hee

Anyway, I'm out

Check craigslist, it's likely the cheapest way to get it repaired.

iPad replacement screens are only $60-$100, depending on the model. I just used one in a weird case mod I did.

I'm sure whatever brand tablet you have is going to be that or cheaper to fix. The labor cost will be what inflates, but you can almost always find somebody else willing to work cheaper.

Of course, with no idea how much your tabby cost and no idea what your finances are like, I'm making a lot of assumptions.
