Tablet PC's, and the perfect CPU.

Now, why isn't the Banias being used in tablet PC designs? It seems that it'd be the perfect CPU for that sorta situation, with idle power disipitation at under 1 watt. It's even lower than the 800MHZ ULV P3. It seems like it's a match made in heaven. Why isn't the Banias invading any notebook designs?

There's a Transmeta 1 GHz tablet from HP/Compaq ZDNet that looks pretty cool, though I have no real use for one 🙂

I'd actually like something about half the size (with a 640x480 screen) as a combination eBook and wireless remote player for my music jukebox server. PocketPC screens are a bit small for eBook use.
