Is there a performance hit if you're using an integrated gpu as opposed to something nicer? Like when you're drawing something, is there noticeable lag?
 
We've been using Toshiba Porteges with GMA950's here at work and I've never noticed any lag. It hardly takes much graphics power to make a drawing, I can't imagine integrated video being a source of lag. I'd worry more about having enough memory.
