Tablet for under $250

I'm looking for a tablet for under $250. Preferably Android OS, screen size at least 10", 720p resolution would be great, and 16GB is plenty. Mainly going to use it to browse the web and use it for Skype. What would you guys suggest?

Asus MemoPad FHD. Price fluctuates but usually gets back to $250 every few days.

Used Nexus 10 maybe in that price. Haven't looked lately. Or an HP slate 10. Not really a whole lot of decent 10 inch tablets for $250. You'd mostly be buying crap.

If you don't need video calls on Skype, the Nook HD+ is very reasonably priced.

For $250 you can get a really awesome 7 inch tablet or a really crappy 10 inch tablet... Decisions, decisions.

to browse the web and to use Skype a 7" or 8" tablet would be more than adequate, and in fact very good for those things.

Actually look elsewhere like Amazon or other places than the Lenovo store. No, it is not a Nexus 10 and the screen is not HD (1080) but it got decent marks from review sites.

There's no reason to get the Lenovo over the Asus, which is in fact 1920*1200.

That Asus is $250 on Amazon right now - not bad.
And it has 2GB of RAM, where the Lenovo has 1GB.

If you want new, and have a hard limit of $250 and 10", that Asus definitely looks reasonable.

I'd get the Nexus 7 2nd gen hands down. Don't think anything else would be remotely worth it.
Or like people said, you can get a very good 7 inch, or a really crappy 10 inch. Decisions... I think it's obvious.

I just bought a Google Play Edition model on the G-Pad. Supposed to be pretty nice, though the screen is apparently a little dim.

If I didn't already have an iPad Retina Mini, I'd buy one of the open box units in a heartbeat, 8" tablets are almost perfect.

yup, just picked one of these up for my wife, decidedly non techy...just wants to grab email, shop and do facebook and occasionally play simple games. For $245, she'll be set for probably 2 years, by then hopefully a big step up for similar price.

Played with one of these at local Office Depot and it looks really nice, not blazing fast, but I am buying for the customer, not me. Should be here by Monday!
