Can anyone recommend a cheap table top burner? Landlord provided my kid one and its only 1000 watts. Takes forever to cook. Its like using a hair drier to heat up food.

That's for outdoor use. Get an induction range top burner.

You can use them indoors too, just have to be a little careful, used to have korean bbq on a similar one all the time.

But induction rules, especially if you are going to use it on a regular basis, just have to make sure you have to right pots and pans.

>1500W and your next step is likely going to need 240VAC, just because of the current capacity of the wiring, breakers, and outlets.

Most catering and hotel operations use those butane burners every day, inside.
I use them as well but, they're a little short on BTU's. I also use induction burners and hate them. They seem to have two settings warm and, burn.
