Needed to avoid having to comb through threads for reviews.

Not much mention of the fact that super pi time is even worse.

It's irrelevant when you see this kind of improvement across the board and in much more relevant workloads than useless superpi ;) (both BD and PD at same 4Ghz clock,no Turbo):

Then you look at average performance in applications(both MT and lightly threaded averaged):

8350 is around 6% slower than 3770K in their applications test suite, both at stock. Six percent. Margin of error of measurement is around ~3%.

Then in games,FX8350 proves to clearly be the best CPU AMD has made to this date:

It's still some 23% slower than i5 2500K in games alone but costs less and this difference should not be noticeable in 1080p gaming with single high end GPU (when you get ~70 fps you won't notice the difference 86fps brings unless you are some special kind of human being :) ).

Have any of those reviews tried overclocking on a decent H2O system yet? (I don't want to read them all, so just wondering if someone has read one with a good third party H2O system/kit).

I'm still trying to find some decent BF3 benchmarks. I understand why most sites don't do the MP benchmarks, but the single player framerates are irrelevant when it comes to MP performance, which 90% of what people do with the game.

Has anyone come across any yet ?

Those that called you a troll are obviously trolls themselves :). It's amazing how far some will go in their denial of facts... It's like they are angry that PD does all that and that AMD somehow hurt their feelings :). Pretty sad...

Intel is still way to go for gaming though, but even if one buys 8320/8350 he won't have bad experience in games. Lower performance, yes of course. But there is the point of not noticing the difference and with the solid GPU, 95% of desktop users would be satisfied with unlocked 180$ FX8320.

I myself would rather the 6300 it seems to offer way more bang for your buck in gaming because it costs less yet it performs nearly the same

Yeah that's true. Heck even the FX4300 pulls some nice numbers in games, now being more on par with FX8150. I guess that's why AMD priced 2M FX4300 so close to FX6300,the performance in games is very similar (save one or two games that need moar cores).

Using anandtech cpu bench it appears the l3 cache has almost no effect on workloads with the exception of gaming. The a10-5800k and fx-4300 are both piledriver 4 cores (2 modules) with the same clock speed.

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/675?vs=700

indeed, but the difference in gaming performance is quite big... I'm seeing 20%+?
for the same clock and architecture...

also, the A10 uses a new platform, AMD certainly had the chance to improve some aspects that they cannot with AM3+.

So we can conclude that AMD is still very much useless.

Pretty much Unless your doing nothing but heavy multi threaded Tasks on an EXTREME Budget And already have an AM3+ board.

And do not have a Microcenter Near by to get a 2700k for 229$.../ 3770k 269$ With the 50$ off MB deal and 20$ rebate on the board...
