TA - Game of Unreal Tournament anyone?

I tried popping in several times, but the OLWeapons download got to about 72% then the connection aborted. Probably was taking too long, and the game ended. 🙁

anyone know where I can the the OLWeapons pack and download on my own?

I just played a few games, boy is Pussycat good !!! Only won a couple (out of loads)

Getting a Version Mismatch error now the answer to which is below:-

Never use textures from this package in your map, unless you are sure it will never be used in multiplayer games. The Credits texture package will conflict with the Credits music package on clients that try to connect to the server, which causes a "Version mismatch" error.

Will try again in a bit.

OLweapons ,at least the version I have is part of the Old Skool mod for UT ,I have increased the frag limit to 25 ,hopefully that'll allow you to get it in time.

Which package??😕 ,I've seen this error before & couldn't find out what it was about ,where did you find that out?

Which map did that happen with?

(me goes to look in log too)

Going by the log it looks like you were part way through downloading 'olweapons' when the game ened ,try it now whilst its at the beggining of the game

You missed my message in UT just before you left ,I said that 'ping rates should fall now' ,& they did ,try it 1 more time mate
 
I was in finally, but the ping (2400 - 2700) and bad lag were killing me. I killed myself more than anything, as I would fire, nothing would happen, then I would move, and run right into my own fire. :Q

It would take 1.5 - 2 seconds for me to pick up a weapon. I would run through, pause and wait.

I usually couldn't even see who was fragging me, had to wait until the message popped up on the screen.

*sigh*

I'll try back another time. 🙂

I guess I'll go read up on the A7V settings in anticipation of FedEx showing up today. The Red Rascal is getting a small upgrade. 😀

Like I said in the game (but you didn't see😛) ,the hi ping was about to finish ,I did warn that it would go on for about 1-2mins(I was finding out about UT server admin stuff on the net).Just after you said it took 1.5s to show which weapon you got(at the end of the level) the ping cam right down as I killed all other bandwidth using apps (IE,outlook ).
If you try again now you should find your ping down to 200 ish.
Sorry about the high ping rate back then🙁, but I was trying to find out why I couldn't login as a server ,I needed to know incase I wanted to kick someone out to allow a TA guy in.I sussed it in the end.

What upgrade are you getting🙂
Btw have you seen this site about the A7V & its variants?

Is that with the Cybrosis map?

Cat used to have that same problem joining from the LAN but that stopped after I re-installed UT on my rig.

It's a Hare & Hounds Enduro tomorrow, 12mile course, 4 hour race, whoever does the most laps wins !!! Open to Enduro Bikes (like mine), motocrossers, trail bikes, anything really. In mid-Wales, think it'll be a bit cold.

Haven't got a clue about the music though !!! Think you must have misread a hastily typed message while Catpuss was fragging me...

When I first read the previous posts mentioning bikes, I was thinking bicycles. Then I read this one, 12 miles 4 hours as many laps as you can, and I was :Q thinking dasm, ColinP must be in excellent physical condition. 😀 Then I realized you were talking about motorcycles. Still have to be in good condition to run for 4 hours straight over rough terrain. I know I couldn't do it. 😀

I still have a lot to learn in this game lol 🙂 I was getting totally slaughtered for the first couple of rounds, then started to get a little better 🙂

Can't wait to play again, hopefully against Mech too 🙂
